Homer News Community Forum at Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center. (The event is an informational forum and not a debate although the panel will include proponents and opponents of the project. The forum is organized by the Homer News newspaper and not city-sponsored.)
- The community forum will address Homer’s March 25 ballot question in order to provide residents with the background they need to cast an informed vote on March 25 and to encourage as many residents as possible to vote.
- Presenters include John Fenske, representing the Kachemak Bay Campus; Barb Seaman of the Kachemak Heritage Land Trust and the Friends of Town Square; Greg Jones of Cook Inlet Region Inc. (CIRI); Homer City Manager Walt Wrede; Homer City Council member Beth Wythe; Homer business owner Kate Mitchell; Bob Brant of Jay-Brant General Contractors; and Homer business owner and resident Terry Yager.
- Please e-mail questions to the Homer News in advance news@homernews.com or submit them in writing at the forum for Homer News reporters to present to the panel. The forum is not a debate.
